Montgomery County (Md.) HIV/STI outreach campaign

Project: Create an outreach campaign to promote HIV and STI testing and treatment, including:

  • mass mailing post card (6.25" x 9" EDDM)
  • 5" x 7" post card
  • 24" x 18" posters
  • QR code creation
  • clinic location map creation
  • research and data visualization on target zip codes

Client: Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services

Key Points: Montgomery County has a large and diverse population and it was important that the campaign reflect different target populations—including Hispanic/Latino/Latina residents as well as members of the LGBTQ+ and Black communities. Also key was reducing barriers to care as much as possible. 

  • Extensive photo research to represention different populations as authentically as possible
  • Bilingual design with each language given equal weight
  • Streamlined layout for easy reading
  • Creation of QR code and maps for easy access to clinic locations
